No Insurance? No Problem. Feel Better Without the Red Tape

At Mountain Movement Chiropractic, we believe everyone deserves to move well, feel strong, and live pain-free — whether they have insurance or not. Too many people delay care because they think they “need” insurance to see a chiropractor. The truth is, you don’t. In fact, skipping the insurance process might actually help you get better, faster.

Why We Don’t Bill Insurance

We’re a cash-based practice, which simply means we don’t bill insurance for care. “Cash-based” doesn’t mean you have to pay in cash — we accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and checks. It just means we work directly with you instead of a third party that decides what your health is worth.

Insurance companies base coverage on cost containment, not outcomes. They decide which treatments are “medically necessary,” how often you can be seen, and when your care should stop. Those limits often have nothing to do with what’s actually best for your body or your recovery timeline.

Insurance Often Slows Down Recovery

Here’s the frustrating reality: it usually takes more visits to get better when insurance is involved. Why? Because coverage restrictions often lead to shorter, less effective visits and treatment plans that focus on symptom management instead of real functional improvement.

At Mountain Movement Chiropractic, you and your chiropractor make the plan — not an insurance adjuster. We do what’s needed, when it’s needed, and track your progress every step of the way.

Transparent Costs — No Surprises

Everyone’s had that moment: you visit a doctor, pay your copay, and months later get a surprise bill in the mail. The lack of transparency in traditional healthcare makes it impossible to know what you actually owe until it’s too late.

With us, you’ll know exactly what your care costs upfront. No waiting six months for an explanation of benefits. No hidden charges. No confusion. Just honest, straightforward care so you can focus on getting better instead of worrying about your bill.

What It Really Costs: Insurance vs. Cash-Based Care

Let’s look at a simple comparison for a typical 6-visit plan:

Insurance-Based Clinic

  • 6 visits total

  • $50 copay per visit

  • $300 paid upfront in copays

  • Possible balance bill months later, depending on what insurance covers

  • Total cost: often $300–$600+ once billing is finalized

  • Hidden or delayed bills: Likely

Mountain Movement Chiropractic (Cash-Based Care)

  • 6 visits total

  • $100 for your initial visit

  • $60 for each follow-up

  • Total cost: $400 total, known before you start care

  • Hidden or delayed bills: Never

When you go through insurance, the clinic bills your insurer a higher rate (often $100–$200 per visit), waits for reimbursement, and you may still owe a balance bill later. With us, there’s no guessing — your full treatment plan and costs are clear from day one.

What If You Do Have Insurance?

Even though we don’t bill insurance directly, many of our patients still get reimbursed by submitting a superbill. A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes all the necessary codes your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim.

If you’d like one, just ask — we’ll provide it for you at no extra charge. You can then submit it to your insurance company for possible reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits.

Your Health Shouldn’t Depend on Coverage

Having no insurance doesn’t mean you have to live with pain or stiffness. Our cash-based model allows us to keep costs reasonable, treatment efficient, and quality of care high. You’ll spend more time being cared for, not filling out forms or waiting for approvals.

When you choose a cash-based chiropractor, you’re choosing personalized, efficient, and transparent care — built entirely around your needs, not an insurance company’s budget.
