When back or neck pain starts changing how you live.
Personalized chiropractic care for spinal pain, stiffness, sciatica-like symptoms, and movement limitations—built around the activities you need to return to.
Pain is real, but the painful spot is not always the whole story.
Back and neck pain can involve joints, muscles, discs, nerves, workload, sleep, repetitive positions, and how nearby regions move. The goal of the exam is to understand which factors matter for you.
Chiropractic care can be one conservative option for some types of low-back and neck pain. It is not a cure for every spinal condition, and significant neurological or systemic symptoms need medical evaluation.
What patients often notice before they schedule.
Symptoms can overlap. The examination helps determine whether care at Mountain Movement is appropriate or whether another provider should be involved.
Low and mid-back pain
Pain with sitting, standing, bending, lifting, twisting, sleep, work, exercise, or transitions such as getting out of a chair.
Neck and upper-back pain
Stiffness, reduced rotation, shoulder-blade tension, discomfort after desk work, and pain related to repeated positions or old injuries.
Sciatica and nerve symptoms
Pain traveling into the buttock or leg, numbness, tingling, or weakness that requires careful neurological screening.
Reduce irritation while rebuilding useful movement.
Treatment choices depend on symptom behavior, neurological findings, movement, health history, and the activities that matter to you.
New bowel or bladder changes, saddle numbness, or rapidly worsening weakness are urgent.
Seek immediate medical evaluation for those symptoms, severe trauma, fever with back pain, unexplained weight loss, a history of cancer with new spinal pain, or severe neurological changes.
Understand what is happening and what to do next.
The appointment is designed to create a useful plan—not just produce a temporary change on the table.

Can chiropractic care help low-back pain?
Spinal manipulation is one conservative option that may modestly improve pain and function for some people with acute or chronic low-back pain. Results vary, and care should be matched to the diagnosis and patient.
What is sciatica?
Sciatica describes symptoms along the sciatic nerve pathway, commonly involving pain that travels from the low back or buttock into the leg. Numbness, tingling, or weakness may also occur and should be evaluated.
Do I need an X-ray before treatment?
Not everyone needs imaging. It is generally considered when the history or exam suggests trauma, fracture, infection, cancer, major neurological compromise, or another condition that imaging may clarify.
Will I be adjusted at the first visit?
Often, when the examination shows that chiropractic care is appropriate and there are no red flags. Dr. Hansen explains the options before treatment.
How many visits will I need?
That depends on whether the problem is new or long-standing, neurological involvement, daily demands, response to care, and your goals. Recommendations should change as function improves.
Where can I see prices?
Current appointment types and self-pay prices are available through online booking.
